Juneteenth is ...I liked Why Did I get Married too.

Juneteenth is a celebration of when the slaves received their actual freedom. It's just a tribute to the ancestors. I bet if you were a slave you would want to celebrate every time the anniversary of your TRUE freedom came around. Why would you celebrate what Lincoln did in 1863 if you weren't really freed until 1865? You would celebrate your true freedom date.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25806438.post-78404323733932424542009-06-19T18:06:40.868-07:002009-06-19T18:06:40.868-07:001. Looking forward to seeing "Preys," but I'm waiting for it to get off the pay-per-view and onto the free section.
And another thing about his movies: Black folks are allowed to get therapy. No law against it.

4. Oysters away!

5. Good point. I was almost out of college before I even *heard* of Juneteenth. Maybe because I didn't grow up in TX or the South? The only Juneteenth I ever saw seemed more like an excuse for a party courtesy of the area black student union.Lisa MBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09576920158863874498noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25806438.post-77388080904242461982009-06-19T13:01:05.641-07:002009-06-19T13:01:05.641-07:00I liked Why Did I Get Married? better.I liked Why Did I Get Married? better.Carleen Bricehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01433203126527081458noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25806438.post-46122180608157984662009-06-19T13:00:33.755-07:002009-06-19T13:00:33.755-07:00I saw The Family That Preys and thought it was OK....I saw The Family That Preys and thought it was OK.
