Kinky Gazpacho Part II?

Imagine if I had a younger brother and el esposo had a younger sister around the same age. Imagine, because of us, they met one summer in Spain years ago, when he still wore braces and she still slept cuddled up with a mountain of stuffed animals for comfort at night.

Now imagine that a spark was ignited that very same summer and it continued to burn over the years, across the ocean and through the various highs and lows of life. The spark was only aided by the power of the internet, midnight text messages and two more visits -- one here and another in Spain. And somehow that teeny, tiny spark burst into a flame of love and desire. Somewhere along the way.

Would you believe me? Does it sound too unbelievable? A little over the top? Well, this is not an idea for my next novel. It really comes straight from the pages of my life. And in fact, in about twenty minutes I'm going to the airport to pick up my Spanish sister-in-law, who might just might, become my new Spanish sister-in-law!

Only in this Kinky Gazpacho family folks. Only here. Or maybe not? Do you have a better story from your own family archives? Please share. It's Friday!

Peace!

This is such a sweet story.

Many years ago one of my maternal aunts "hooked up" with a paternal cousin (one year her senior). Now she's on her second husband and two kids with hubby 2, and is a successful MRI tech.

My cousin still lives at home and doesn't have much of a love life worth speaking about. We always joke she's thinking she dodged that bullet. ;)

Are you talking about YOUR younger brother and el esposo's younger sister? Really?

If so, OMG! Talk about history repeating itself! I wonder if your younger brother will write a "Kinky Gazpacho" story of his own. I'd love to read it!

In the meantime, I waiting for my own Kinky Gazpacho romance to take place! The sooner the better! Here are some attributes of my dream husband. Please note: this is a short list.

1. He must be handsome (duh!)

2. He must believe in a higher power, preferably in God

3. He must speak at least two languages (his native tongue and English)

4. He must love opera

5. He must be sophisticated and intellectual

6. It would be great if he can cook too!

My husband's Aunts and Uncles are Brothers and Sisters (and, no, not in the wrong way).

Dan's mom had 2 brothers who married (fairly close in time) 2 sisters. Not really Kinky Gazpacho, though. More MIT/Barnard...
