Changes on the Meltingpot

Hi Meltingpot Readers,

In case you hadn't noticed, there's a couple of new things happening here on the Meltingpot. The big one is that over there on the right you'll notice that I've added ads from the blogher network. I'm hoping that with that one ad I'll earn enough money from blogging that I'll be able to quit my day job, buy a small house in the south of Spain and finish paying for my son's orthodonture. Ha! A girl can dream right.

I've also updated my blogroll and encourage you to check out some of the new blogs I've added. A friend of mine just told me about a friend of hers who is now blogging for an online magazine I've never heard of called, The Next Family. It looks like a great site and this woman, Wendy Rhein is blogging about being a White single mom to two brown, adopted kids and taking care of her aging mom. She also includes recipes with all of her posts. Check it out if you can. Another blogger on the Next Family site, Amy Wise, writes about being a White woman married to a Black man and how the world still doesn't seem ready to accept that. It's a small world because I (cyber) met Amy on a different website. Funny how the Internet brings like-minded people together over and over again.

So, enjoy the changes and enjoy your weekend. I'll 'see' you all on Monday.

Peace!

Oh, I meant to tell you today on the phone that I'm totally friends with Brandy Black, the wonderful woman that runs Next Family. I sent her a link to this blog and she was thrilled. What a small world!
