Can You Say Salsa in Hebrew?

Hello Meltingpot Readers,

Here's another reason why I love the NPR show, Tell Me More. Today while listening, I heard about the Israel Film Festival, happening now in Los Angeles. Normally, I probably wouldn't have bothered to investigate further. I'm not that into Israeli films. Let's be honest, I just don't know enough about Israeli films to be into them. Well, I might now.

Peep this trailer for a film called Salsa Tel Aviv. It's about a Mexican salsa dance instructor who goes to Israel to teach salsa dancing. She decides to enter the country disguised as a nun in order to sneak through customs. Hilarity ensues, as does a little romance. It sounds like the perfect Meltingpot mash-up. Check it out.

So, people, what do you think? Do you want to see it? Do you have any other Israeli films you think we should talk about here on the Meltingpot?

I'm listening.

Shalom!
